Privacy policy
Last updated September 29, 2026
This policy covers bravawear.com. It explains what we collect when you visit, join the waitlist, reserve a Brava Arc or write to us, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect only what we need to keep you posted and answer you, and we don't sell it.
Who we are
Brava is the consumer brand of Wearable Defense, LLC, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. When this policy says "we" or "us," it means Wearable Defense, LLC.
What we collect
- When you join the waitlist: your first and last name, your email address, and your phone number if you choose to give it.
- When you write to us: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message.
- When you reserve: your name, email address, the colorway you voted for and how many you reserved. Stripe collects your card details directly. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you browse: our hosting and content providers keep standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Cookies and tracking
We only use cookies that aren't essential if you say yes. The first time you visit, a small box asks. You can change your answer any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
- Essential: one cookie,
brava_consent, that remembers your choice for six months. It's always on and isn't used for tracking. - Analytics (only if you allow it): Google Analytics sets cookies such as
_gato count visits and show us which pages people use, with IP addresses shortened. Google handles this data under its own privacy policy. - Marketing (only if you allow it): Meta Pixel sets cookies such as
_fbpso we can measure our ads and show Brava to people who have visited the site. Meta handles this data under its own privacy policy.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no to analytics and marketing cookies, and we won't ask. If you turn cookies off after allowing them, we stop loading these tools and clear the cookies they set on our site.
How we use it
- To tell you when pre-sale opens and send you news about the Brava Arc.
- To process and confirm your reservation, and to contact you about it.
- To answer your messages.
- To see which colorways people want, counted across everyone who reserves.
- To keep the site secure and prevent fraud.
We'll only use your phone number to contact you about your reservation or a message you sent. We won't send you marketing texts unless you separately agree to them.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it with the companies that help us run the site, and only for that purpose:
- Vercel, which hosts the website.
- Sanity, which serves the site's text, images and video.
- Resend, which delivers form submissions to our inbox.
- Notion, where we keep the list of waitlist sign-ups and messages.
- Stripe, which processes reservation payments under its own privacy policy.
- Google (Analytics) and Meta (Pixel), only if you allow those cookies.
If you allow marketing cookies, Meta receives information about your visit to help measure and target ads. Some state laws call that "sharing" for advertising. You can opt out any time with Cookie settings or a Global Privacy Control signal.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a change in our company, such as a merger or reorganization. In that case this policy keeps applying to what you gave us.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist and reservation details until the pre-sale is over, or until you ask us to delete them. We keep messages for as long as we need them to help you. We may keep payment records longer where tax or accounting law requires it.
Your choices
- You can unsubscribe from our emails any time, using the link in any email or by writing to us.
- You can turn analytics and marketing cookies on or off any time with Cookie settings.
- You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it or delete it. Email contact@bravawear.com and we'll reply within 30 days.
Some states give you further rights under their own laws. We'll honor those requests too.
Security
We use services with strong security practices, and we limit who on our team can see your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that nothing will ever go wrong. If something does and it affects you, we'll tell you.
Children
This site isn't meant for anyone under 18, and you have to be 18 to reserve. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us their information, email us and we'll delete it.
The Brava app
This policy covers the website only. The Brava app, which handles emergency contacts and location, will have its own privacy policy that you'll see before you use it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll email you first.
